2019 Delta County Great Start Family Picnic
The Delta County Great Start Parent Coalition celebrated our hard work this year with a family appreciation picnic at Kid’s King-dom with over 90 people in at-tendance. Families enjoyed great food, games, activities, prizes and crafts together in the beautiful weather.
The picnic capped off another amazing year for our Coali-tion. After completing two round of Trusted Advisors grants last year in which we provided social emotional trainings, kindergarten readiness kits to families, literacy kits to libraries and childcare providers, re-vamped our website, brought Reach Out and Read programs to OSF and UPHP, held Read and Rise workshops, summer reading camps and got our Parent Café’s off the ground. Plus all of our regular meetings, speakers , events and family fun nights we host in the community. It’s been a busy and productive time for us! We thank everyone who has supported, partnered and participated in making our communi-ty a GREAT place to raise kids.
Be sure to join us for our next Par-ent Café on 8/29/19 from 2-4pm at Christian Park Healthcare. See our calendar for more details.
