Saturday focused on kids with face painting, fish pond, art projects,
obstacle courses, games and circus mirrors. See axe throwing and
wood carving too! Great family weekend. Bring a lawn chair and a

7/7/18 Happy Tails Story Time 10:30am -11:15am at the Delta Animal
Shelter meets on the 1st Saturday of the month for kids ages 3-5 years
old. Features animal related stories, activities and an opportunity to

racing starts at 6pm at the UP Fairgrounds. $5, 10 and under free.

young minds developing and little hands busy! Participants will do fun

games, vendors, log rolling competition and tree climbing in
Van Cleve Park. Bands: 5pm-7pm Sore On Sunday. 7pm-9pm Derril
Syria, Fireworks at dusk
7/4/18 Bark River Parade at 11am (Ray’s Feed Mill to the township
park). Noon begins food, kids’ games, & music, in the park. Fireworks at
dusk.
7/5/18 $1 Bowling Night 4pm-9pm at Bowl-a-Rama. Affordable bowling
for families $1 per game, shoe rentals, pizza slices and pop. The 1st

(Outdoors adventures theme) Have your child bring gallon sized zip lock bag of Legos and create together. There is a drawing for 2 Lego sets at the end of each Lego Club session. We will be grilling hotdogs and gearing up for our 8/4/18 picnic in Gladstone. Meetings are open to anyone wanting to get involved giving kids a great start in school and life. 7/21/18 Deadline for Young Artists Market 10am-3pm This is a great opportunity for students to display and sell their original works during the Waterfront Art Festival on Aug. 4 at Ludington Park in Escanaba. Open to kids ages 18 and under. All artwork must be done by the artist (a limited amount of adult assistance is acceptable). Work must be of suitable quality to be sold. Local Summer Reading Programs
This year libraries rock! You won’t want to miss a beat as they bring music and reading together for a master-piece summer theme. Students from grades K-12 are eligible to read for prizes. For every 60 minutes of read-ing logged the student will receive a ticket and a chance to win!
