CHILD FIND is a FREE and confidential service provided by professionals at Delta-Schoolcraft ISD (DSISD). Screenings and evaluations through the DSISD help locate as early as possible all chil-dren with disabilities who are in need of early intervention and special education services. Child Find activities are coordinated by Early On (birth – age 3) and the Child Find team (ages 3 – 5). Children who may be suspected of having a disability or a delay in one or more of the following areas are offered an appropriate, no-cost program placement if needed:

Social and Emotional Development

“Child Find” is a service provided through the DSISD which is a continuous process of public awareness activities, screening and evaluation. It is designed to locate, identify, and refer all young children with disabilities and their families who are in need of Early Intervention Program or Preschool Special Education services of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) as early as possible.
