WWII Presentation “In Their Own Words” featuring Lt. Francis Angier

In Their Own Words Series. Larry Martin's World War II-In their own words, Sept. 25th, at 5:30 p.m. at Manistique School and Public Library. Larry's interest in WWII history and his passion for both gathering ans sharing the stories of the men and women of the war has sparked the creation of the In Their Own Words project. This project is intended to educate further generation on this fascinating and unique history as wells as to foster an appreciation for the hardships endured by all war veterans so that we may all live in a free country. Over the past decade, Larry Martin has conducted over 75 video interviews of WWII veterans and has hosted over 100 programs across the country. Our program will focus on Lt. Francis Angier, a B-17 Pilot, who flew 33 mission over Germany. He was shot down, injured and taken to Stalag Luft #3. This is where an escape took place a month prior, that was later turned into a movie call "The Great Escape."
