Community Calendars
Great Start recognizes the importance of community involvement and the value of opportunities for families to learn and grow together. We have created these community calendars as a way to share timely community events with you. If you know of any events please take time to add them to our community calendar or forward the information to gsevents@dsisd.net. Please encourage the agencies and organizations that you partner with to do so as well so we can have a comprehensive one stop shop for early childhood information in our communities.

Reducing Challenging Behaviors in Toddlers-with the Kinship Care Resource Ctr.
This free series of workshops will provide guidance for caregivers of children as they navigate the joys, challenges and concerns of raising kids. Participants may register once and attend as few or as many workshops as they wish.
The workshops are as follows:
April 9: Introduction to the HOPE Framework
May 14: Reducing Challenging Behaviors in Toddlers
June 11: Together We Can: Co-Parenting
July 9: Setting the Stage: Promoting Social-Emotional Development in Children
August 13: Parenting and Family Relationships When a Family Member has a Disability
