10/17/25 Manistique School & Public Library Storytime 10am-11am Children 5 and under, with adult supervision, are invited for story time fun! We will share a story, activities and a snack. 100 N Cedar St.

Great Start recognizes the importance of community involvement and the value of opportunities for families to learn and grow together. We have created these community calendars as a way to share timely community events with you. If you know of any events please take time to add them to our community calendar or forward the information to gsevents@dsisd.net. Please encourage the agencies and organizations that you partner with to do so as well so we can have a comprehensive one stop shop for early childhood information in our communities.

We will have two special guests coming to Baby Café from Great Start in Escanaba. They have nursing capes they are wanting to donate to any moms in need. 10/7, 10/14 & 10/21 Monster Mash 6pm at Lake Effect Community Arts Center for dance instruction. Come to one, two, or all three sessions. The dance will be easy enough for all ability levels to learn. Costumes are encouraged. There will also be a Manistique Flash mob downtown on the evening of October 24 .
